    This course is designed to meet the needs of teachers participating in the Tier Competencies Program. The course examines the freedom and use limitations that face teachers and students regarding copyrighted material.

    The course is designed to equip teachers with a clear understanding of how copyrighted material can be legally used in the context of classroom instruction, student projects and presentations.

    In this workshop, you will learn strategies for identifying and preventing plagiarism in your classroom. The course offers practical hands-on opportunities for teachers to learn and explore a variety of tools that will help encourage ethical work habits with your students.

    This a course under construction which will be provided to the GEOSS project for other teachers to utilize. The course is designed with two goals in mind 1. to provide sample resources about acceptable use and internet safety that could be utilized in the classroom, and 2. to provide additional resources for teachers looking to teach better research practices to their students.
